SPOTLIGHT: Vanessa Miller

Improving Communications welcomes Vanessa Miller.

Meet Vanessa Miller. She drives learning and development with energy and passion. When she leads a session, her big smile and warm laugh put everyone at ease. Vanessa actively involves people, making sure everyone speaks up and stays engaged.

Vanessa brings years of experience leading both in-person and virtual training. She’s worked with organizations to design and deliver sessions that are not only informative, but also interactive and enjoyable. Her focus is always on the learner, helping people build practical skills while also gaining confidence along the way.

Also a familiar face at conferences and workshops, where she shares her expertise on communication, leadership, empowerment, diversity, equity, inclusion, and professional growth. Her sessions are known for being thoughtful, useful, and motivating — the kind people leave feeling glad they attended.

Before becoming a consultant, Vanessa worked with the Transportation Security Administration. While at JFK Airport, she oversaw training for more than 2,000 officers and led a team of 15 instructors. In that role, she helped make sure teams stayed sharp, skilled, and ready for the work ahead.

When she’s not working, Vanessa enjoys a good book, yoga, meditation, time with her family, and traveling.
